Covalent Functionalization of 2D Semiconductors: A Roadmap to Advanced Electronic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This Review presents recent advances in the covalent functionalization strategies for two‐dimensional semiconductors and their implementation in modern technologies. Layered materials are modified through diverse molecular chemistries (e.g., thiols, diazonium salts, alkyl halides, and electron‐deficient species) to tailor their surface properties ...

Structure‐Guided Balancing of Ambipolar Transport Enables Symmetric Switching in Heterojunction Bilayer Organic Transistor Inverters

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Balancing the spatially separated p‐ and n‐type transport pathways in heterojunction‐bilayer OTFTs enables symmetric inverter switching (VM ≈ 0.5VDD), whereas discrete integration of unipolar OTFTs gives polarity‐dependent and resistive responses. ABSTRACT High inverter performance in ambipolar organic electronics requires balanced channel strengths ...

Accelerated Discovery of Topological Spin Phase Diagrams in CrSBr Magnets Via High‐Throughput Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we develop a high‐throughput algorithm that accelerates the elucidation of phase diagrams of topological spin textures using limited computational resources at high numerical accuracy. Applying this framework to the van der Waals magnet CrSBr, we unveiled a hierarchy of previously unknown topological textures (domain‐wall bimerons, bimeron chains,

Sub‐1 ms Optoelectronic Synapse Based on {ZnCdO/ZnO} Multilayer Structure for High‐Speed Neuromorphic Vision Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Eu‐doped {ZnCdO/ZnO} structures grown on Si are developed, showcasing dual‐functionality controlled by europium doping. While high europium concentration transforms the device into an ultrafast, self‐powered photodetector, low‐doped structures can be used as an optoelectronic synapse.

IFDMA for uplink mobile radio communication systems. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
An application of interleaved frequency-division multiple-access (IFDMA) for mobile communications has become an active field of research since 1998. The special interest has been given to the uplink of mobile communication since low peak-to-average power ratio makes IFDMA attractive for hand-held mobile devices allowing an application of cheap ...

Hopping‐Mediated Zero‐Bias Photocharge Retention in Solution‐Processed Van Der Waals Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Liquid–liquid interface assembly enables the fabrication of solution‐processed MoS2 and WSe2 centimeter‐scale, nanometer‐thick type‐II heterostructures on paper. Interfacial charge separation and hopping‐limited recombination produce rectification and persistent photocharge retention at zero bias.

Amphoteric Cu‐Doping Leading to High Thermoelectric Performance in p‐Type Bismuth Antimony Telluride

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that Cu plays two opposite roles in p‐type Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 depending on the processing route. Under thermodynamic‐equilibrium bulk‐synthesis, Cu mainly occupies cation sites, increases hole concentration, preserves mobility, and slightly reduces lattice heat transport. The best‐performing composition among the investigated series reaches

Nitride MXenes Beyond Carbides: Bridging the Gap Between Computational Prediction and Experimental Realization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nitride MXenes remain constrained by a persistent gap between computational prediction and experimental realization. This Review identifies the thermodynamic, kinetic, and chemical barriers limiting their synthesis, critically evaluates emerging fabrication routes, and proposes a multidimensional computational‐experimental framework to accelerate the ...

Temporal variation in the radio environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Modem digital radio systems using high symbol rates are more susceptible to multipath interference than traditional systems. These systems need to adapt to the propagation environment in order to minimise transmission errors while minimising transmitted ...

Experimental Research and Development of Nonlinearity Models for FR1 Range Mixers for Electromagnetic Compatibility Analysis

open access: yesДоклады Белорусского государственного университета информатики и радиоэлектроники
By using the technology of double-frequency testing, an experimental analysis of nonlinear properties of low-power radio-frequency mixers is performed at frequencies of the n7 band allocated in Belarus for 4G mobile communication systems and the n78 band
