Abstract A 4‐month‐old, 20.5 kg, entire, male Dobermann was presented to a primary care veterinary centre with acute‐onset weakness, pyrexia and abdominal pain. Referral was sought after a cranial abdominal mass and abdominal effusion were found while undergoing exploratory coeliotomy for a suspected enteric foreign body.
