Sensor placement for modal identification
Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, 2012Abstract Planning of sensor placement can be done by using a finite element model before a modal test. In this paper, a method is proposed in order to select the most relevant degrees of freedom which should be monitored by sensors. It uses two criteria based on observability of mode shapes and on information shared by sensors.

Sparse component analysis with optimized clustering for underdetermined blind modal identification
Measurement science and technology, 2019Modal identification performs one of the most important roles in structural dynamics analysis and structural health monitoring, especially when the input excitations are not measurable.

Modal parameter identification using Z‐transforms
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 1989AbstractA method for the time domain identification of modal parameters of a vibrating structure using Z‐transformation sequences is presented in this paper. This identification proceeds using the Z‐transfer function of a vibrating structure from which an auto‐regressive and moving‐average (ARMA) model of the vibrating structure is derived.

Multi-Modal Human Identification System
2005 Seventh IEEE Workshops on Applications of Computer Vision (WACV/MOTION'05) - Volume 1, 2005In this paper we describe our system for multi-source human identification. The system includes a collection of classifiers that classify feature streams derived from audio and video sources. We combine outputs of individual classifiers within our Approximate Bayesian combination framework.
