FRACTIONAL-VALUED MODAL LOGIC [PDF]
AbstractThis paper is dedicated to extending and adapting to modal logic the approach of fractional semantics to classical logic. This is a multi-valued semantics governed by pure proof-theoretic considerations, whose truth-values are the rational numbers in the closed interval $[0,1]$ .

Clustering of modal-valued symbolic data [PDF]
Symbolic Data Analysis is based on special descriptions of data - symbolic objects (SO). Such descriptions preserve more detailed information about units and their clusters than the usual representations with mean values. A special kind of symbolic object is a representation with frequency or probability distributions (modal values).

Many-Valued Logics and Bivalent Modalities
In this paper, we investigate the family LS0.5 of many-valued modal logics LS0.5's. We prove that the modalities of necessity and possibility of the logics LS0.5's capture well-defined bivalent concepts of logical validity and logical consistency. We also show that these modalities can be used as recovery operators.

Three-valued Logics in Modal Logic [PDF]
Abstract Every truth-functional three-valued propositional logic can be conservatively translated into the modal logic S5. We prove this claim constructively in two steps. First, we define a Translation Manual that converts any propositional formula of any three-valued logic into a modal formula.

On transitive modal many-valued logics [PDF]
This paper is focused on the study of modal logics defined from valued Kripke frames, and particularly, on computability and expressibility questions of modal logics of transitive Kripke frames evaluated over certain residuated lattices. It is shown that a large family of those logics -- including the ones arising from the standard MV and Product ...

Impact of Weave on Physico-Comfort Properties of Eri/Modal Union Fabric
The present work investigates the effect of weave structure on physico-comfort properties of eri silk–modal union fabrics. Three different weaves viz. twill, herringbone, and diamond were prepared in a fly shuttle loom by using the three different ratios

Quel est le débit le plus fréquent d'un cours d'eau ?
This paper takes an interest on the most frequent flow of a river, i.e. the modal flow. This variable is rarely used in hydrology whereas it could give interesting information about catchments behaviors.

Investigation of Modal Behaviour of Resonance Spruce Wood Samples (Picea abies L.)
Results of experimental modal analysis of a resonance and non-resonance spruce wood (Picea abies L.) are presented. The resonance wood came from a tree from Poland and Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the non-resonance wood came from the vicinity of Olsztyn

Modal analysis of subway tunnel in soft soil during operation
Modal parameters are of great significance in civil engineering because they can characterize the properties of structures and be used for vibration control and structural health monitoring.
