Timing of Glucocorticoid Treatment Dictates Glucocorticoid Receptor Actions Modulating the NLRP3‐Inflammasome Activation in Macrophages

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 3, 15 February 2026.
Utilizing a clinically relevant course of treatment, our study reveals that glucocorticoids protect against the late NLRP3 inflammasome activation regulating the IL‐1β secretion, the processing of GSDM‐D and pyroptosis following signal 2 stimulation. These potent anti‐inflammatory effects are mediated by the activation of GR signaling and the expansion

120 Gbit/s 2 × 2 Vector-Modes-Division- Multiplexing DD-OFDM-32QAM Free-Space Transmission

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2016
We demonstrate a 120-Gbit/s mode-division-multiplexing (MDM) system based on two typical vector modes of TE01 and TM01 with direct detection orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DD-OFDM) and 32-quadrature-amplitude-modulation (32-QAM ...

Inverse‐Designed on‐Chip Terahertz Three‐Channel Mode and Wavelength Division Demultiplexer

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
An ultracompact terahertz demultiplexer is developed using a hybrid inverse design that combines genetic algorithms with topology optimization. The device enables simultaneous mode‐ and wavelength‐division multiplexing within a footprint smaller than two wavelengths.

Neuro‐Immune Crosstalk: Molecular Mechanisms, Biological Functions, Diseases, and Therapeutic Targets

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
Neurons, immune cells, and other cellular components within the disease microenvironment (such as stromal cells and tumor cells) constitute a dynamically evolving ecosystem. Neurons directly modulate immune cell activity and inflammatory responses through the release of neurotransmitters (e.g., norepinephrine and CGRP), while also promoting tumor ...

Low-Crosstalk High-Order Mode Silicon Fiber-Chip Coupler by Utilizing Apodized Double Part Gratings With Mode Selective Trident

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2023
We propose and experimentally demonstrate a silicon integrated high-order mode fiber-chip coupler. By utilizing a structure of apodized double-part gratings with mode selective trident, TE1 mode can be coupled with low mode crosstalk.

Accurate Analysis of the Mode (de)multiplexer Using Asymmetric Directional Coupler [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Design optimizations of asymmetric directional couplers for the fundamental quasi-TE (TM) mode with the higher order quasi-TE (TM) modes (de)multiplexer including the H21 y (H21 x), H31 y(H31 x), H41 y(H41 x), and H51 y(H51 x) modes are studied by a full-

Extracellular Vesicles Favor Early Peripheral Immunosenescence Through Modulation of the Senescence‐Associated Secretory Phenotype in HIV Infection

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 1, January 2026.
The senescence‐associated secretory phenotype (SASP) is one of the main factors contributing to immunosenescence in chronic HIV infection. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) present in the plasma of chronically infected people living with HIV (PLWH) represent an important mechanism for inducing SASP, particularly IL‐6 expression in peripheral cells.
