Graphene Actively Mode‐Locked Lasers [PDF]
AbstractActively mode‐locked lasers offer varying degrees of flexibility for a wider range of applications than their passively modulated counterparts, due to their capability for electrically controlled ultrahigh repetition rate operation. Graphene based electrooptic modulators with unique advantages of broad operation bandwidth and ultrafast speed ...

Timing jitter optimization of mode-locked Yb-fiber lasers toward the attosecond regime
We demonstrate ultra-low timing jitter optical pulse trains from free- running, 80 MHz repetition rate, mode-locked Yb-fiber lasers. Timing jitter of various mode-locking conditions at close-to-zero intra-cavity dispersion (-0.004 to +0.002 ps2 range at ...

Active mode-locking optoelectronic oscillator
The optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) has been widely investigated to generate ultra-pure single-frequency microwave signals. In this study, we propose and experimentally demonstrate an active mode-locking optoelectronic oscillator (AML-OEO), which can generate broadband microwave frequency comb (MFC) signals.

Reconfigurable Three‐Dimensional Superconducting Nanoarchitectures
3D superconducting nanostructures offer new possibilities for emergent physical phenomena. However, fabricating complex geometries remains challenging. Here 3D nanoprinting of complex 3D superconducting nanoarchitectures is established. As well as propagating superconducting vortices in 3D, anisotropic superconducting properties with geometric ...
