Observation of soliton explosions in a passively mode-locked fiber laser [PDF]
Soliton explosions are among the most exotic dissipative phenomena studied in mode-locked lasers. In this regime, a dissipative soliton circulating in the laser cavity experiences an abrupt structural collapse, but within a few roundtrips returns to its ...

Hybrid Mode Locked Fiber Ring Laser
Mode locked pulse generation has been reported using both active and passive mode locking schemes. Active mode locking technique has been proven to be an effective way to generate high-repetition-rate pulses by incorporating a modulator inside the laser cavity.

Cladding-pumped passive harmonically mode-locked fiber laser
A passive harmonically mode-locked fiber laser cladding pumped by a broad-area diode-laser array is described. Harmonic mode locking is obtained in a frequency range from 33.3 to 128.6 MHz, where the higher frequency limit is imposed because of insufficient available pump power.

Itch‐induced tick removal (IITR): An acquired neuroimmune mechanism, itch‐induced tick removal, develops after repeated tick exposure, mobilizing T cells and macrophages at the tick bite site to trigger a rapid scratching response that facilitates timely tick removal within a critical window that precedes the transmission of many tick‐borne pathogens ...

Theoretical Comparison of NPR and Hybrid Mode-Locked Soliton Thulium-Doped Fiber Lasers
The evolutions and properties of solitons in a thulium-doped fiber laser hybrid mode-locked by the coaction of nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR) and a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM) have been numerically investigated.

This study reveals the molecular mechanism by which the transcription factor FgSge1 regulates mycotoxin biosynthesis and virulence in Fusarium graminearum. FgSge1 binds to the TAARGTTT cis‐element, enabling self‐activation. It recruits the SAGA complex, promotes histone acetylation, and facilitates jet‐like chromatin remodeling, thereby activating ...

Nigral dopaminergic (DA) neurons modulate and represent pain with a preference to a particular modality (mechanical) and laterality (contralateral), which are controlled by nigral GABAergic neurons. The pain modulation is mimicked by the nigro‐subthalamic projection and its downstream neurons, involving D2‐like receptors.
