An accessible microfluidic perfusion platform for time‐restricted control of zebrafish embryonic patterning

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Understanding the dynamic nature of developmental networks requires live imaging techniques capable of capturing real‐time developmental processes in wild‐type and mutant embryos as they are exposed to pharmacological perturbations. A peculiar developmental patterning process in early vertebrate embryos is the sequential segmentation of ...

Ultrafast mode-locked laser in nanophotonic lithium niobate

Science, 2023
Mode-locked lasers (MLLs) generate ultrashort pulses with peak powers substantially exceeding their average powers. However, integrated MLLs that drive ultrafast nanophotonic circuits have remained elusive because of their typically low peak powers, lack

All-Fiber Mode-Locked Laser Based on Mamyshev Mechanism With High-Energy Pulse Generation at 1550 nm

Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2020
An all-fiber mode-locked laser based on Mamyshev mechanism operating at 1550 nm is demonstrated. Self-phase modulation and offset spectral filtering provide high peak-power pulse selection in the laser cavity and induce mode locking.

Mode locking in solitary lasers

Optics Letters, 1991
We present an analysis of passively mode-locked lasers in which pulse formation is dominated by the interplay between self-phase modulation and negative dispersion in separate cavity elements. Steady-state pulse parameters and stability issues are discussed.
