Buildup and Real-Time Control of Spatiotemporal Nonlinear Dynamics
Ultrafast multimode fiber lasers enable the high-dimensional control of pulses, which can generate spatiotemporal mode-locking with high peak power and multimode Q-switching with large pulse energy.

2.4 GHz CMOS Power Amplifier with Mode-Locking Structure to Enhance Gain
We propose a mode-locking method optimized for the cascode structure of an RF CMOS power amplifier. To maximize the advantage of the typical mode-locking method in the cascode structure, the input of the cross-coupled transistor is modified from that of ...

High-efficiency phase-locking experiment of modular Ka-band coaxial magnetrons
The first full demonstration of a high-efficiency phase-locking mechanism was accomplished in the millimeter-wave (mm wave) bands. Two modular Ka-band coaxial magnetrons were fabricated and phase-locked.

Graphene Actively Mode‐Locked Lasers [PDF]
AbstractActively mode‐locked lasers offer varying degrees of flexibility for a wider range of applications than their passively modulated counterparts, due to their capability for electrically controlled ultrahigh repetition rate operation. Graphene based electrooptic modulators with unique advantages of broad operation bandwidth and ultrafast speed ...

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Unleashing the Power of Machine Learning in Nanomedicine Formulation Development
A random forest machine learning model is able to make predictions on nanoparticle attributes of different nanomedicines (i.e. lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, or PLGA nanoparticles) based on microfluidic formulation parameters. Machine learning models are based on a database of nanoparticle formulations, and models are able to generate unique solutions

Passive and hybrid mode locking in multi-section terahertz quantum cascade lasers
It is believed that passive mode locking is virtually impossible in quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) because of too fast carrier relaxation time. Here, we revisit this possibility and theoretically show that stable mode locking and pulse durations in the ...
