Fundamental and harmonic mode-locking at 2.1 μm with black phosphorus saturable absorber.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2017
We report mode-locking in holmium-doped all-fiber laser based on black phosphorus saturable absorber. The generated solitons are centered at 2094 nm with bandwidth reaching 4.2 nm and pulse duration of 1.3 ps.

Stable operation of a synchronously pumped colliding-pulse mode-locked ring dye laser [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
Pulses of 100-fsec duration are obtained by synchronous pumping of a colliding-pulse ring dye laser with a mode-locked Ar+-ion laser. Stable operation of the synchronously pumped colliding-pulse mode-locked laser over hours was obtained by a suitable ...

Nonlinear dynamics of mode-locking optical fiber ring lasers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We consider a model of a mode-locked fiber ring laser for which the evolution of a propagating pulse in a birefringent optical fiber is periodically perturbed by rotation of the polarization state owing to the presence of a passive polarizer.

FM Mode-Locking Fiber Laser [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2008
In this paper the study of Frequency Modulation Harmonic Mode-locking forYtterbium Doped Fiber Laser is presented. The model studied, uses ytterbium-doped,single mode fiber pumped by 976 nm laser source is used with 150 mW pumpingpower to produce 1055 nm

Phase diagram and complexity of mode-locked lasers: from order to disorder

open access: yes, 2008
We investigate mode-locking processes in lasers displaying a variable degree of structural randomness, from standard optical cavities to multiple-scattering media.

Dynamic modal analysis of monolithic mode-locked semiconductor lasers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We analyze the advantages and applicability limits of the mode-coupling approach to active, passive, hybrid, and harmonic mode-locking in diode lasers. A simple, computationally efficient numerical model is proposed and applied to several traditional and

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Mode-Locked Operation of High-Order Transverse Modes in a Vertical-External-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser

open access: yesSensors
Understanding the mechanism of mode-locking in a laser with high-order transverse mode is important for achieving an ultrashort pulses train under more complicated conditions.
