A Topology Optimization Framework for the Inverse Design of Nonlinear Mechanical Metamaterials
This work uses topology optimization to design unit cells for mechanical metamaterials with a prescribed nonlinear stress–strain response. The framework adds contact and postbuckling modeling to synthesize microstructures for three highly nonlinear responses, including pseudoductile behavior, monostable with snap‐through buckling, and bistable ...

Beating the One-half Limit of Ancilla-free Linear Optics Bell Measurements
We show that optically encoded two-qubit Bell states can be unambiguously discriminated with a success probability of more than 50% in both single-rail and dual-rail encodings by using active linear-optical resources that include Gaussian squeezing ...

Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...

This work pioneers melt electrowriting (MEW) of polyethylene vinyl acetate (PEVA) to fabricate ultra‐compliant, high‐resolution scaffolds. By integrating microscale precision with soft tissue‐like biomechanics, PEVA overcomes stiffness‐driven limitations of conventional MEW polymers, establishing a mechanically biomimetic platform for soft tissue ...

Results From an Analysis of the Mode Choice Decisions of Long Distance Business Travellers [PDF]
Mode choice models for long distance business travellers have been calibrated, using data on actual choices, generally with the objetive of deriving demand elasticities and values of time for use in forecasting.

Constant gm, rail-to-rail input transconductance stage with output common mode current compensation
This paper presents a compensation structure to reduce the output common mode current of a rail-to-rail constant g m transconductance stage. The transconductance stage is a differential structure with the input transistors biased in weak inversion. This results in low power consumption and a simple relation between gm and tail currents.

Real‐Time 3D Ultrasound Imaging with an Ultra‐Sparse, Low Power Architecture
This article presents a novel, ultra‐sparse ultrasound architecture that paves the way for wearable real‐time 3D imaging. By integrating a unique convolutional array with chirped data acquisition, the system achieves high‐resolution volumetric scans at a fraction of the power and hardware complexity.
