Investigation of voice and text output modes with abstraction in a computer interface
Interacting with Computers, 1996A human-computer interface is described, which was designed to study user preferences and the effectiveness of output modes and levels of information abstraction in a decision making environment. The interface was tested in an exploratory study of an apartment selection problem.

Cognitive Constraint Rules In Design Of Multi-mode Computer Interfaces For Disabled Users
Proceedings of the Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society Volume 13: 1991, 2005The authors present a scheme for custom design of computer interfaces for users with disabilities. Optimization is based on calculation of a benchmark score which estimates the rate at which the individual will be able to use particular application software.

Improper selection of the number and the amplitude of noise channels in noise-assisted multivariate empirical mode decomposition (NA-MEMD) would induce mode mixing and leakage in the obtained intrinsic mode functions (IMF), which would degrade the performance in applications like brain-computer interface (BCI) systems based on motor imagery.

In this paper, the transient dynamic stress intensity factors are estimated for multiple cracks which are located at the interface between a nonhomogeneous elastic half-plane and an elastic half-plane. The material properties of the nonhomogeneous half-plane vary continuously in the y-direction.

POD based computation of Joint Interface Modes
Recently proposed joint interface modes (JIM), which have been presented at the IMAC 25th, do consider Newton’s 3rd law across a joint already at the stage of mode generation which leads to significant improvements in the subsequent mode based computation where nonlinear contact forces are applied.Witteveen Wolfgang, Sherif Karim

This paper presents an Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) approach for achieving high-speed frequency-tagged steady state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) brain computer interface (BCI) system. Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) has been demonstrated as a local and fully data-driven technique for the data processing of nonlinear and non-stationary time ...

One of the most promising methods to assist amputated or paralyzed patients in the control of prosthetic devices is the use of a brain computer interface (BCI). The use of a BCI allows the communication between the brain and the prosthetic device through signal processing protocols. However, due to the noisy nature of the brain signal, available signal

Minimalistic User Interface Design and Dark Mode Usage in Human-Computer Interaction
10th International Scientific Conference Technics, Informatic, and EducationWhen it comes to minimalist design and dark mode, these are two very current topics in today’s design, development, and implementation of web and mobile applications. Often heard is the phrase „Less is more,“ which will be explained in detail through this paper, both from a theoretical perspective and with practical examples.
