Investigation of voice and text output modes with abstraction in a computer interface
Interacting with Computers, 1996A human-computer interface is described, which was designed to study user preferences and the effectiveness of output modes and levels of information abstraction in a decision making environment. The interface was tested in an exploratory study of an apartment selection problem.

In this paper, the transient dynamic stress intensity factors are estimated for multiple cracks which are located at the interface between a nonhomogeneous elastic half-plane and an elastic half-plane. The material properties of the nonhomogeneous half-plane vary continuously in the y-direction.

POD based computation of Joint Interface Modes
Recently proposed joint interface modes (JIM), which have been presented at the IMAC 25th, do consider Newton’s 3rd law across a joint already at the stage of mode generation which leads to significant improvements in the subsequent mode based computation where nonlinear contact forces are applied.Witteveen Wolfgang, Sherif Karim

Comparison of Three Computer Scanning Modes as an Interface Method for Persons With Cerebral Palsy
The American Journal of Occupational Therapy, 1992Abstract Occupational therapists are becoming increasingly involved with interface assessments. This involvement is improving the ability of persons with physical disabilities to interact with computers, augmentative communication aids, and other devices. The ability to use these devices facilitates participation in activities that would

Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures, 2005
Abstract A model for analyzing mixed-mode delamination problems in laminated composite plates under general loading conditions is studied. The first-order shear deformable laminated plate theory and the interface methodology, which in turn is based on fracture mechanics, are adopted.

Transferring a brain-computer interface (BCI) from the laboratory environment into real world applications is directly related to the problem of identifying user intentions from brain signals without any additional information in real time. From the perspective of signal processing, the BCI has to have an uncued or asynchronous design.
