A unified mode decomposition method for physical fields in homogeneous cosmology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The methods of mode decomposition and Fourier analysis of classical and quantum fields on curved spacetimes previously available mainly for the scalar field on Friedman- Robertson-Walker (FRW) spacetimes are extended to arbitrary vector bundle fields on ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Composite fault diagnosis of gearbox based on empirical mode decomposition and improved variational mode decomposition

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control, 2021
In order to identify the nonlinear nonstationary pitting-wear fault signal of gears in gearbox, a new method of composite fault diagnosis for gearbox is proposed, which combines empirical mode decomposition with improved variational mode decomposition ...

Visualization and selection of Dynamic Mode Decomposition components for unsteady flow

open access: yesVisual Informatics, 2021
Dynamic Mode Decomposition (DMD) is a data-driven and model-free decomposition technique. It is suitable for revealing spatio-temporal features of both numerically and experimentally acquired data.

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.
