Intraoperative Collection of Ascitic Fluid With Intra‐ or Postoperative Reinfusion in Ovarian Cancer: Safety and Feasibility of a Roller Pumping Method

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.

Stationarity of I-mode operation and I-mode divertor heat fluxes on the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2019
Recent I-mode investigations from the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak are reported. It is shown that neutral-beam-injection heated I-modes can be stationary, which is important in terms of extrapolability towards future fusion devices.

Higher-order properties and Bell-inequality violation for the three-mode enhanced squeezed state

open access: yes, 2009
By extending the usual two-mode squeezing operator $S_{2}=\exp [ i\lambda (Q_{1}P_{2}+Q_{2}P_{1}) ] $ to the three-mode squeezing operator $S_{3}=\exp {i\lambda [ Q_{1}(P_{2}+P_{3}) +Q_{2}(P_{1}+P_{3}) +Q_{3}(P_{1}+P_{2}) ]} $, we obtain the ...

Upacicalcet: A Novel Intravenous Calcimimetic Agent for Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis With Secondary Hyperparathyroidism

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) is a common complication in patients receiving maintenance dialysis, driven by calcium and phosphate metabolism disturbances. Calcimimetics are central to the management of SHPT by enhancing calcium‐sensing receptor sensitivity and reducing parathyroid hormone secretion.

p-mode frequencies in solar-like stars : I. Procyon A

open access: yes, 2004
As a part of an on-going program to explore the signature of p-modes in solar-like stars by means of high-resolution absorption lines pectroscopy, we have studied four stars (alfaCMi, etaCas A, zetaHer A and betaVir). We present here new results from two-

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.
