Modelling shock-induced instabilities, transition and turbulent mixing using high-order methods [PDF]
High-order numerical methods have been considered and implemented in order to assess their applicability in a range of complex ows centering on shockinduced turbulent mixing.

Harnessing the mode mixing in optical fiber-tip cavities
We present a systematic numerical study of Fabry-Perot optical cavities with Gaussian-shape mirrors formed between tips of opticalfibers. Such cavities can be fabricated by laser machining of fiber tips and are promising systems for achieving strong ...

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

We report on the fabrication of a solid one-dimensional microstructured fiber with high nonlinearity and low dispersion at 1.55µm. A four-wave-mixing based tunable wavelength-conversion scheme was experimentally demonstrated in just 1.5m of this ...

Computational imaging using a mode-mixing cavity at microwave frequencies
International audienceWe present a 3D computational imaging system based on a mode-mixing cavity at microwavefrequencies. The core component of this system is an electrically large rectangular cavity with onecorner re-shaped to catalyze mode mixing ...

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

In the sifting process of the traditional empirical mode decomposition (EMD), intermittence causes mode mixing phenomenon. The intrinsic mode function (IMF) with the mode mixing phenomenon loses its original real physical meaning.
