Model-driven derivation of product architectures [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the twenty-second IEEE/ACM international conference on Automated software engineering, 2007
Product Derivation is one of the central activities in Software Product Lines (SPL). One of the main challenges of the process of product derivation is dealing with complexity, which is caused by the large number of artifacts and dependencies between them.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Maritime Integrated Systems Architecture in the Digital Era: A Systematic Review of Model-Based Approaches, Interoperability, and Resilience

open access: yesApplied System Innovation
Background: Maritime operations increasingly rely on integrated, secure, and resilient architectures, yet the associated body of knowledge remains fragmented across conceptual, operational, logical, methodological, and governance-oriented perspectives ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

The Model Transformation for Getting a UML Class Diagram from a Topological Functioning Model

open access: yesApplied Computer Systems, 2015
The approach called Topological Functioning Modeling for Model Driven Architecture (TFM4MDA) uses a Topological Functioning Model (TFM) as a formal Computation Independent Model (CIM) within the Model Driven Architecture (MDA).

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Model driven design of distribution patterns for web service compositions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Increasingly, distributed systems are being constructed by composing a number of discrete components. This practice, termed composition, is particularly prevalent within the Web service domain.

Model-Driven Evolution of Software Architectures

open access: yes11th European Conference on Software Maintenance and Reengineering (CSMR'07), 2007
This paper gives an overview of a Ph.D.-project that investigates approaches to support the evolution of software architectures. Particularly, we focus on the use of model-driven techniques in the context of software product-lines. We recognize four tasks related to software evolution: evaluation, conformance checking, migration, and documentation.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Business process and software architecture model co-evolution patterns [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Software systems are subject to change. To embrace change, the systems should be equipped with automated mechanisms. Business process and software architecture models are two artifacts that are subject to change in an interrelated manner that requires ...
