Integrability of sigma models is investigated in arbitrary dimensions. The conditions of the integrability are found and the corresponding linear eigenvalue equations are given. Some new classes of classically integrable sigma models are found in two and higher dimensions containing all the known models.

A probabilistic model of integration
Decision Support Systems, 2008We propose a probabilistic model of integration where decisions about integration are made based on the perceived ensuing benefit. Integration proceeds in a pairwise manner. This model provides a way to think formally about the integration processes in networks.

An Integrated Model of Designing
Journal of Computing and Information Science in Engineering, 2010Current design models and frameworks describe various overlapping fragments of designing. However, little effort exists in consolidating these fragments into an integrated model. We propose a model of designing that integrates product and process facets of designing by combining activities, outcomes, requirements, and solutions. Validation of the model

An introduction to model integration and integrated modeling environments
Decision Support Systems, 1993Abstract Integrated modeling systems provide support for the definition, manipulation, and control of mathematical models throughout the entire modeling life cycle. Model integration is a particularly crucial operation which requires thinking about “modeling in the large”, and which extends the scope of model management research to include ...

This paper presents an extension of a previously presented tool integration approach: tool integration for different scenarios may be specified as integration models, and these integration models can be executed or form the basis of code generation for implementing integration on different platforms.

On Model Integration and Model Integrity
Journal of Strategic and Systemic Therapies, 1984The possibilities and limitations of various kinds of integrative efforts in the field of family therapy are examined from the point of view of an epistemology of construction. A preference is expressed for the kind of integration that emphasizes model integrity.

Companies are increasingly being put under pressure from the market to design product and production better, faster, cheaper and more market-oriented. Insufficient coherence and synchronization between product, process and system design often lie at the basis of great design efforts and high design costs.

Integration Adapters are a fundamental part of an integration system, since they provide (business) applications access to its messaging channel. However, their modeling and configuration remain under-represented. In previous work, the integration control and data flow syntax and semantics have been expressed in the Business Process Model and Notation (
