Intercomparison of wave-driven current models
Coastal Engineering, 1997Abstract Seven numerical models which simulate waves and currents in the surf-zone are tested for the case of a reduced-scale detached breakwater subjected to the action of regular waves with normal incidence. The computed wave heights, water levels and velocities are compared with measurements collected in an experimental wave basin. The wave height

Unified model intercomparison for volcanic ash transport modelling
International Journal of Environment and Pollution, 2014Our group is pursuing a volcanic ash transport model intercomparison study to evaluate the relative performance of several atmospheric transport models for selected case studies. These intercomparisons require the definition of standard output formats for producing results in a common framework.

Intercomparison of coastal area morphodynamic models
Coastal Engineering, 1997Abstract Five different coastal area morphodynamic models have been set up to run on the same offshore breakwater layout and an intercomparison carried out on the hydrodynamic and morphodynamic output produced by each scheme. In addition, the predicted morphodynamics was checked against available laboratory and field data.

AMIP: The Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project
Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society, 1992The Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project (AMIP) is an international effort to determine the systematic climate errors of atmospheric models under realistic conditions, and calls for the simulation of the climate of the decade 1979-1988 using the observed monthly averaged distributions of sea surface temperature and sea ice as boundary conditions ...

Reduced Complexity Model Intercomparison Project (RCMIP)
2021<p>Reduced-complexity climate models form part of the climate model hierarchy and are increasingly relied upon at the science-policy interface. Historically, evaluation of reduced-complexity climate models has been limited to a number of independent studies. Here we present the reduced-complexity model intercomparison project (RCMIP), the

The AgMIP Global Gridded Model Intercomparison
ASABE 1st Climate Change Symposium: Adaptation and Mitigation, 2015Abstract. Climate change poses a significant risk to our food system. Present-day agricultural areas are likely to face increases in temperatures and changes in precipitation patterns that may have implications on agricultural production capabilities.
