Since their inception, the Perspectives in Logic and Lecture Notes in Logic series have published seminal works by leading logicians. Many of the original books in the series have been unavailable for years, but they are now in print once again. In this volume, the fifth publication in the Lecture Notes in Logic series, the authors give an insightful ...

This chapter is devoted to the model theory of valued fields, which is due to Ax and Kochen. We also present Ax–Kochen’s solution of Artin’s conjecture that for every prime p, the field of p-adic real numbers \({\mathbb Q}_p\) is a \(C_2(d)\) field for every \(d\ge 1\) (See [2–4]).

Asymptotic Fields in Some Models of Quantum Field Theory. I
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1968A quantum field with nonlocal interaction is considered. We prove under a proper smoothness condition on the interaction that the asymptotic limits of the annihilation-creation operators exist. The asymptotic limits are then used to prove that the state space decomposes as a tensor product of an incoming (outgoing) Fock space and a zero-particle space.

Nonperturbative stability analysis of quantum-field-theory models
Physical Review D, 1989A nonperturbative method of analysis of the stability problem of field-theory models is proposed. The method consists in the investigation of the convergence of the functional integral representing the partition function of the theory with rescaled boson fields.
