M theory as a matrix extension of Chern-Simons theory

open access: yes, 2000
We study a new class of matrix models, the simplest of which is based on an Sp(2) symmetry and has a compactification which is equivalent to Chern-Simons theory on the three-torus.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

On the breakdown of perturbative integrability in large N matrix models

open access: yes, 2005
We study the perturbative integrability of the planar sector of a massive SU(N) matrix quantum mechanical theory with global SO(6) invariance and Yang-Mills-like interaction.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

4D Chern-Simons theory with auxiliary fields

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The auxiliary field sigma model (AFSM) has recently been constructed by Ferko and Smith as deformations of the principal chiral model by including auxiliary fields and the potential term given by an arbitrary univariate function.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

A Gauged Open 2-Brane String in the p-Brane Background

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2016
We make a gauge theory from the Open p-brane system and map it into the Open 2-Brane one. Due to the presence of second-class constraints in this model, we encounter some problems during the procedure of quantization. In this regard, considering boundary

A nonlinear magneto-mechanical coupling model for magnetization and magnetostriction of ferromagnetic materials

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
A new magneto-mechanical coupling model was proposed for ferromagnetic materials under applied stress and in magnetic fields. The proposed model is based on the thermodynamic theory of ferromagnetic materials and Jiles–Atherton–Sablic (J–A–S) theory with
