Prognosis of Long‐Term Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and the Impact of Combined Continuous Intravenous Sodium Infusion Therapy

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

Transonic aerodynamic loads modeling of X-31 aircraft

open access: yes, 2012
The generation of reduced order models for computing the unsteady and nonlinear aerodynamic loads on the X-31 aircraft from pitching motions in the transonic speed range is described.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Some experimental and theoretical studies in aircraft stability at high angles of attack [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
A review of techniques for stability and response investigations is presented and the averaging technique of Beecham- Titchener-Simpson is applied to the lateral equations of. motion for two combat aircraft.

A Taxonomic Survey of Model Extraction Attacks

open access: yes2023 IEEE International Conference on Cyber Security and Resilience (CSR), 2023
A model extraction attack aims to clone a machine learning target model deployed in the cloud solely by querying the target in a black-box manner. Once a clone is obtained it is possible to launch further attacks with the aid of the local model. In this survey, we analyze existing approaches and present a taxonomic overview of this field based on ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Simulation of the dynamics of network attacks in automated systems of internal affairs bodies in the "CPN Tools" software environment

open access: yesБезопасность информационных технологий, 2021
The paper presents the results of simulation modeling of the dynamics of the implementation of a network attack in its conflict interaction with the information protection system from unauthorized access of an automated system in the form of quantitative

pwnPr3d: An Attack-Graph-Driven Probabilistic Threat-Modeling Approach

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we introduce pwnPr3d, a probabilistic threat modeling approach for automatic attack graph generation based on network modeling. The aim is to provide stakeholders in organizations with a holistic approach that both provides high-level ...

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.
