Prediction of Properties of Polymer Composite Formulations Using Ensemble Models With Feature Generation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 25, July 5, 2026.
This study develops an interpretable machine‐learning framework to predict multiple properties of polymer composites based on composition and processing variables. By combining ensemble models with composition‐based feature generation and SHAP‐based interpretation, the approach reveals composition‐property relationships and supports efficient multi ...

Observing the Earth's Plasmasphere and Ionosphere From the Lunar Surface

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 12, 28 June 2026.
Abstract We present the analysis of the first lunar‐based observational characterization of the Earth's plasmasphere and ionosphere using Global Navigation Satellite Systems signals tracked from the lunar surface by the Lunar GNSS Receiver Experiment (LuGRE). The Earth‐Moon geometry enables limb sounding of the plasmasphere at altitudes exceeding 3,000

Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 12, 17 June 2026.
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.

In Situ Copper Electroplating Turns Material Extrusion 3D Printers Into Metal–Polymer Hybrid Fabricators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 11, 5 June 2026.
An in situ electroplating approach for MEX 3D printing is proposed, enabling copper deposition during the fabrication of conductive polymers. The method combines a printer‐integrated plating head, ML‐based g‐code control, and stop‐and‐go printing, achieving near‐bulk copper conductivity and enabling fully embedded, assembly‐free electronic components ...

ESTELA‐Study: Long‐Term Effectiveness and Safety of Anti‐Calcitonin Gene‐Related Peptide Monoclonal Antibodies in Real‐World Clinical Practice

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Anti‐CGRP antibodies are effective and safe in real‐world migraine management, but guidelines recommend discontinuation after 12–18 months due to limited long‐term data and remaining uncertainties regarding optimal treatment duration and sustained safety, highlighting the need for large‐scale long‐term real‐world evidence.

Modeling, packaging and recognition of radio etiquettes for cognitive radio

open access: yes, 2004
152 p.Cognitive Radio (CR) can be conceived as an advanced version of Software Defined Radio (SDR) with model-based reasoning. CR offers a mechanism for the flexible pooling of radio spectrum using a new class of protocols called formal radio etiquettes.

Nitrogen Reduction by Nanostructure‐Supported Ruthenium Catalysts

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 12, 26 June 2026.
Zero‐valent ruthenium catalysts supported on multi‐walled carbon nanotubes (Ru0@CNTs) and on graphitic carbon nitride (Ru0@g‐C3N4) allow photocatalytic and electrochemical reduction of molecular nitrogen, characterized experimentally and with DFT calculations.
