A computer program for the analysis of dental models

Computer Programs in Biomedicine, 1979
This paper presents the details and logic of a Fortran computer program which carries out routine clinical analysis of dental models resulting from impressions of the teeth and related structures, which are subsequently cast in plaster of Paris. The program is primarily intended for use by the orthodontist who is engaged in research or clinical ...

A user-oriented dental care model

Computers in Biology and Medicine, 1978
Abstract This paper discusses a computer oriented model of dental programs. The two major concepts incorporated into the model are the personnel involved in providing care and the type of care being provided. For user specified categories of service and various personnel configurations the model estimates personnel requirements, in terms of time and ...

Dental anxiety ‐ the development of a measurement model

Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica, 1986
ABSTRACT— A more detailed measurement instrument for dental anxiety has been developed. To investigate the dimensionability of the response, two instruments were administered to 452 persons. The first set of items (33) concerned stimuli which might prove fearsome to patients. Some of these were dental specific, others were not.

Electronic dental record information model

International Journal of Medical Engineering and Informatics, 2009
Electronic dental records (EDRs) vary widely with regard to the content and structure of the information they contain. At a time when electronic patient records are becoming increasingly essential in delivering high-quality patient care, the 'Tower of Babel' that today's EDRs represent is an increasingly significant drawback.

Socioeconomic demand model for dental visits

Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology, 1984
Abstract The purpose of the present study was to develop structural Socioeconomic demand models for dental visits. The explanatory variables were chosen selectively from the various theories concerning health services utilization. The models were constructed on data from a sociodental survey carried out among workers and staff members at a Danish ...

A model for the corrosion behavior of dental amalgams

Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 1989
AbstractAt high frequencies, electrochemical impedance behavior for corroding dental amalgams cannot be interpreted in terms of a simple Randles equivalent circuit. This may often be ascribed to the imperfect cell geometry resulting in a nonuniform current distribution.

Biofilm Models for the Evaluation of Dental Treatment

2020
When analyzing the activity of antimicrobial agents, it should be considered that microorganisms mainly occur in biofilms. Data obtained for planktonic bacteria cannot be transferred non-critically to biofilms. Biofilm models should consider both the relevant microorganisms and the conditions present in the environment.
