Muscle Control of an Extra Robotic Digit
This study compares muscle‐ and movement‐based control for operating a supernumerary robotic thumb. While movement control performs better in the proposed tasks, muscle‐based (EMG) control promotes broader motor learning. The results highlight the promise and challenges of using biosignals for human augmentation, offering new insights into intuitive ...

Grip and Grasp: Lizard Claw Inspired Robotic Manipulators
Our study identifies the most effective lizard claw shape for use as an end effector in a bioinspired robotic manipulator. By examining key geometric features and combining them into comparative indices, the Crotaphytus collaris claw is found to be the best fit.

Liu et al. define a systems‐level interactome of fibroadipogenic progenitor (FAP)‐mediated signaling in skeletal muscle by integrating single‐cell transcriptomics with FAP depletion‐based perturbation analysis. Functional interrogation using a conditioned media bioassay links predicted signaling to multicellular outcomes, establishing a framework to ...

We investigate whether Montessori and traditional schooling systems shape the developmental trajectory of large‐scale brain dynamics in different ways. We quantify the arrow of time (“non‐reversibility”) in neural activity during resting state and movie‐watching, revealing distinct maturational patterns.

To overcome severe signal oscillation under extreme impact conditions, this work presents a Sensing‐in‐Energy microdevice which integrates a MEMS inertial structure directly within a supercapacitor electrolyte cavity. Utilizing shock‐driven transient contact and electrolyte damping for signal self‐filtering, it achieves weak‐oscillation, large ...

Some topics in set theory [PDF]
This thesis is divided into two parts. In the first of these we consider Ackermann-type set theories and many of our results concern natural models. We prove a number of results about the existence of natural models of Ackermann's set theory, A, and ...

Effective encodings of constraint programming models to SMT [PDF]
Funding: UK EPSRC grant EP/P015638/1.Satisfiability Modulo Theories (SMT) is a well-established methodology that generalises propositional satisfiability (SAT) by adding support for a variety of theories such as integer arithmetic and bit-vector ...

This study reveals a conserved half‐open active pocket in Fe(II)/α‐ketoglutarate‐dependent dioxygenases through protein structuromics, distinguished by structural features comprising highly flexible loop elements. Enhanced sampling simulations‐guided mutagenesis experiments elucidated how this flexible loop regulates pocket open/closed conformations ...
