Local and global results for modified Sz\'{a}sz - Mirakjan operators

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we study a natural modification of Sz\'{a}sz - Mirakjan operators. It is shown by discussing many important established results for Sz\'{a}sz - Mirakjan operators.

Approximation of functions of two variables by certain linear positive operators

open access: yes, 2007
We introduce certain linear positive operators and study some approximation properties of these operators in the space of functions, continuous on a compact set, of two variables.

(p,q)-Generalization of Szasz-Mirakyan Operators

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we introduce new modifications of Szasz-Mirakyan operators based on (p,q)-integers. We first give a recurrence relation for the moments of new operators and present explicit formula for the moments and central moments up to order 4.

Activism as a long durée journey: Teachers against the Chilean neoliberal education model

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract In this paper, I use the idea of purposes of education, particularly subjectification, and the concept of love to explore long‐term teacher activism in Chile. ‘Long‐term activism’ is used to describe an ongoing struggle rather than activism confined to specific moments.

Better approximation of functions by genuine Bernstein-Durrmeyer type operators [PDF]

open access: yesCarpathian Journal of Mathematics, 2018
The main object of this paper is to construct a new genuine Bernstein-Durrmeyer type operators which have better features than the classical one. Some direct estimates for the modified genuine Bernstein-Durrmeyer operator by means of the first and second

Rate of convergence of Stancu type modified $ q $-Gamma operators for functions with derivatives of bounded variation

open access: yesMathematical Foundations of Computing, 2023
Recently, Karsli [15] estimated the convergence rate of the \begin{document}$ q $\end{document}-Bernstein-Durrmeyer operators for functions whose \begin{document}$ q $\end{document}-derivatives are of bounded variation on the interval \begin{document ...

Guidelines for Scale Development and Validation

open access: yesJournal of Consumer Behaviour, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Scales, serving as measurement instruments composed of carefully designed items intended to capture latent constructs, play a critical role in advancing consumer theory and marketing practice. Yet, developing and validating scales poses a formidable challenge due to the diverse methods required to ensure rigor and robustness.

Asymptotic Formulae for Modified Bernstein Operators based on Regular Summability Methods

open access: yesHacettepe Journal of Mathematics and Statistics
In this paper, we get new Voronovskaja-type asymptotic formulae for modified Bernstein operators by using regular summability methods. We also display some significant applications of our results including the methods of Cesaro summability, Riesz ...

Degree theory for 4‐dimensional asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
Abstract We develop a new degree theory for 4‐dimensional, asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons. Our theory implies the existence of gradient expanding solitons that are asymptotic to any given cone over S3$S^3$ with non‐negative scalar curvature. We also obtain a similar existence result for cones whose link is diffeomorphic to S3/Γ$S^3/\
