Polymer-Modified Bitumen Using Ethylene Terpolymers

Polymer modified bitumen (PMB) is used in various construction applications, especially in motorways. The aim of this study is to improve features of 60/70 penetration grade, modified bitumen used on highways. Increasing the sensitivity to temperature and oxidation resistance are very important points for the modified bitumen.

ABSTRACT Two brown organic deposits were encountered whilst investigating kaolinitic claystones thought to occur at the base of a Cambrian formation at outcrop. The age of these organic deposits is probably Paleocene from palynology. Organic petrography shows that they are subbituminous coals with some oil source potential.

Origin and formation of a chondritic xenolith in Krymka (LL3.2, breccia): Indications for a late formation of the accretionary breccia

Abstract An unusual chondritic xenolith was found in two sequentially prepared thin sections of a sample from the Krymka (LL3.2) chondrite. The xenolith has a rounded, slightly deformed shape of about 5 mm in apparent diameter and is partially surrounded by a double rim made of an inner fine‐grained silicate‐rich rim and an outer sulfide‐rich rim.
