Electrospun Poly (Glycerol Sebacate) (PGS) Membranes for Corneal Tissue Engineering
Fibrous PGS membranes that are composed of homogenous fibers are fabricated by electrospinning. Durability and permeability of the membranes closely resemble the natural cornea. Thereby, successfully supporting the proliferation of human corneal epithelial cells (HCEC) and human corneal endothelial cells (HCEndC).

Phosphate in Physiological and Pathological Mineralization: Important yet Often Unheeded
Phosphate serves as a building block for physiological mineralization, and as a signaling molecule that regulates the activity of mineralizing cells. The disturbance in these processes could induce a series of pathological mineralization, with abnormal mineralization of hard tissues and ectopic mineralization of soft tissues being the most ...

Humanized corneal stroma‐like adhesive patches (HCSPs) are developed for lamellar keratoplasty and corneal perforation repair. HCSPs exhibit histological, optical, and biomechanical characteristics similar to those of the natural cornea, with improved wet tissue adhesion, anti‐degradation, and anti‐swelling capabilities compared to conventional tissue ...

This study optimizes sterilization methods for bioprinted 3D corneal stroma patches made from cornea‐derived decellularized extracellular matrix (Co‐dECM) hydrogels and human keratocytes. It demonstrates the superiority of electron beam sterilization in preserving the mechanical, biochemical, and immunomodulatory properties of hydrogels, ensuring ...

Effects of triamcinolone acetonide on human trabecular meshwork cells in vitro
Aim: To study the effects of triamcinolone acetonide (TA) on cultured human trabecular meshwork (HTM) cells. Materials and Methods: HTM cells were cultured and treated with 125, 250, 500 and 1000 μg/mL concentration of TA for 24 h. The cells were treated
