The potential of electrochemical pesticide analyses by green synthesized waste olive leaves based-silver nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society
Pesticides are chemicals that negatively affect human health and the environment. Unconscious use of pesticides creates residues in foods or agricultural products and it also cause water and soil pollution.

Electrified Damage in Motion Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The electrified damage in motion systems is a fundamental framework presenting the degradation pathway arising from the coupling of electrical energy transport with mechanical contact and interfacial chemistry. The framework positions electrified damage as a distinct degradation regime with unique characteristic surface morphologies and failures of ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Influence of Molecular Structure of Imidazolium Based Ionic Liquids on the Electrochemical Oxidation Performances of Resulting PbO2 Deposits

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2017
The PbO2 coatings were electrodeposited on titanium sheet from aqueous solution containing lead nitrate and imidazolium based ionic liquids (ILs) additive. Effects of molecular structure of ILs on electro-catalytic activities of resulting PbO2 electrodes

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Comparison of ITO and IrOx-Modified ITO Interdigitated Electrodes for Electrical Cell-Substrate Impedance Sensing (ECIS) Applications

open access: yesProceedings, 2017
This study compares the sensitivity of interdigitated electrodes (IDEs) used in Electrical Cell-Substrate Impedance Sensing (ECIS). IDEs made of indium tin oxide (ITO) and ITO coated with iridium oxide (IrOx) were used for ECIS measurements with the ...

DNA‐Templated 2D Heterostructures as Phototriggered Dynamic Nanohybrids: From Releasing Molecular Loads to Controlling Enzyme Biocatalytic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Synthesis and Characterization of Carbon Aerogels Electrodes Modified by Ag2S Nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Research
In this work, electrodes based on carbon aerogels (CA) modified by Ag2S nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by sputtering and solid-vapor reactions. Nanoparticles were identified as silver sulfide (acanthite phase) and their size was controlled by the ...
