On a New Modified Extended Tanh-Function Method
Communications in Theoretical Physics, 2003In this paper, a new modified extended tanh-function method is presented for constructing multiple soliton-like, periodic form and rational solutions of nonlinear evolution equations (NLEEs). This method is more powerful than the extended tanh-function method [Phys. Lett. A 277 (2000) 212] and the modified extended tanh-function method [Phys. Lett.

Abstract In this paper, the optical solitons in birefringent optical fibers without four-wave mixing is addressed with the Biswas–Arshed equation. Dark, bright and singular solitons are obtained by using improved extended tanh-function method. Varieties of other traveling wave solutions are also formulated with this method.

Abstract In this letter, we analyze the paper by Soliman (2006). Using the modified extended tanh-function (METF) method, Soliman have found exact “solutions” of the Burgers type equations including one-dimensional Burgers and coupled Burgers equations. In this comment, we show that none of these solutions satisfy the corresponding Burgers equations.

Analysis to Some Solutions Obtained by Modified Extended tanh-Function Method
Communications in Theoretical Physics, 2010First, two tanh-coth type solutions of a class of nonlinear wave equation are derived by using a simplified modified extended tanh-function method. Then, further analysis to some tanh-coth type solutions of nonlinear evolution equations are given. The results show that when balance number m is one or two, the tanh-coth type solutions obtained by the ...
