Advances in Sustainable and Wearable Textile Based Soft Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This Review examines advances in wearable textile‐based soft robotics, focusing on sustainable materials, integrated sensing, and scalable actuation. It discusses manufacturing and system integration across healthcare, assistive robotics, prosthetics, and human–machine interfaces, and highlights key challenges in circular design, including life‐cycle ...

Surprising Water Slipping Performance on Highly Hydrophilic PEG‐Derived Monolayer‐Covered Surfaces: Preparation, Mechanism, and Application

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Highly hydrophilic surfaces (water contact angle, ≈17.7°) exhibiting surprising water slipping performance (sliding angle, ≈7.3°) are successfully prepared via simple chemisorption of polyethylene glycol (PEG) organosilane and subsequent alkali‐treatment.

Consistent modified gravity: dark energy, acceleration and the absence of cosmic doomsday

open access: yes, 2005
We discuss modified gravity which includes negative and positive powers of curvature and provides gravitational dark energy. It is shown that in GR plus a term containing a negative power of curvature, cosmic speed-up may be achieved while the effective ...

Earthquakes as Probing Tools for Gravity Theories

open access: yesUniverse
We propose a novel method for testing gravity models using seismic waves’ velocities. By imposing observational constraints on Earth’s moment of inertia and mass, we rigorously limit the gravitational models’ parameters within a 2σ accuracy.

Gravitomagnetism in modified theory of gravity [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2019
We study the gravitomagnetism in the Scalar-Vector-Tensor theory or Moffat’s Modified theory of Gravity (MOG). We compute the gravitomagnetic field that a slow-moving mass distribution produces in its Newtonian regime. We report that the consistency between the MOG gravitomagnetic field and that predicted by the Einstein’s gravitational theory and ...

Double‐Interpenetrating Composite Bioink for Multi‐Component 3D Bioprinting and Biofabrication

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Marine‐polysaccharides‐derived double interpenetrating network hydrogel‐based bioink, combining the attributes of physical and ionic crosslinking, enables room‐temperature bioprinting of mechanically defined structures that can be handled and are cytocompatible.

Thin accretion disk signatures in dynamical Chern-Simons-modified gravity

open access: yes, 2010
A promising extension of general relativity is Chern-Simons (CS)-modified gravity, in which the Einstein-Hilbert action is modified by adding a parity-violating CS term, which couples to gravity via a scalar field.

Lemaître-Tolman-Bondi static universe in Rastall-like gravity

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2020
In this work, we try to obtain a stable Lemaître-Tolman-Bondi (LTB) static universe, which is spherically symmetric and radially inhomogeneous. However, this is not an easy task, and fails in general relativity (GR) and various modified gravity theories,

New modified mimetic gravity [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics, 2014
A modified Mimetic gravity (MMG) is proposed as a generalization of general relativity. The model contains a physical metric which is the function of an auxiliary (unphysical) metric and a Lyra's metric. We construct different kinds of conformally invariant models in different levels of the expansion parameter λ. This model phenomenologically has been
