Synching with seasonality: Predicting roe deer parturition phenology across its distributional range

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.
Using an unprecedentedly large data set on roe deer parturition dates, our study shows that elevation and Colwell's metrics of environmental predictability enhance the prediction of the timing of parturition across Europe, compared to using latitude and elevation alone.

Trzecia płeć mody [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Autorka zwraca uwagę na rozwój androgynizmu, który we współczesnej kulturze odnalazł swoje miejsce szczególnie w świecie mody. Trend androgyniczny przeszedł długą drogę. Modelling migratory waterfowl stopover habitat while accounting for ephemeral environmental conditions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, EarlyView.
We demonstrated the potential of phenological synchronization to estimate fine‐scale ephemeral environmental conditions crucial for migratory species. Modelled habitats revealed key stopover sites in both natural and agricultural landscapes. The maps showed gaps in the protected area network of Eurasian grasslands, especially in agriculture.

COVID‐19 and Farm Management in India: Evidence From the Rural–Urban Interface of Bangalore

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We examine farm management decisions of smallholder farmers during the first wave of COVID‐19 infections in India between June 2020 and March 2021. We use panel data from 256 farm households in the rural–urban interface of Bangalore from a pre‐COVID‐19 face‐to‐face survey and a phone survey at the end of the first COVID‐19 wave.
