A modular construction of type theories

open access: yesLogical Methods in Computer Science, 2023
The lambda-Pi-calculus modulo theory is a logical framework in which many type systems can be expressed as theories. We present such a theory, the theory U, where proofs of several logical systems can be expressed. Moreover, we identify a sub-theory of U corresponding to each of these systems, and prove that, when a proof in U uses only symbols of a ...

Resilience and Performance of Prefabricated Modular Buildings Against Natural Disasters

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Structural Engineering, 2023
Earliest global movement towards modular construction originated as a solution to the sudden housing demand which occurred during events such as British colonization, the California gold rush, the world wars and post war settlement.

Modular Construction of Modal Logics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We present a modular approach to defining logics for a wide variety of state-based systems. We use coalgebras to model the behaviour of systems, and modal logics to specify behavioural properties of systems. We show that the syntax, semantics and proof systems associated to such logics can all be derived in a modular way.
