Reliability-based design optimization for heat flux analysis of composite modular walls using inverse reliability assessment method

open access: yesInternational Journal of Thermofluids, 2020
Modular composite walls are widely used in many industrial applications such as thermal applications, different kinds of heat exchangers … etc. These structures allow to rapidly and economically divide spaces and to create separate areas.

On the modular metric completion

open access: yesApplied General Topology
The purpose of this paper is to present the construction of the completion of a set equipped with a modular metric that we call the modular completion. We show for instance that any set equipped with a modular metric has a modular completion.

Convergent and Modular Synthesis of Candidate Precolibactins. Structural Revision of Precolibactin A [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2016
The colibactins are hybrid polyketide-nonribosomal peptide natural products produced by certain strains of commensal and extraintestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli. The metabolites are encoded by the clb gene cluster as prodrugs termed precolibactins. clb(+) E.

Fixed Point Theorems for Contractive Mappings in Probabilistic Modular Spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2021
In this paper we introduce the concept of contractive maps and prove some related fixed point theorems in probabilistic modular spaces. In addition, we investigate the existence of common fixed points for a finite linear combination of contractive ...

State-of-Charge Balancing Control for ON/OFF-Line Internal Cells Using Hybrid Modular Multi-Level Converter and Parallel Modular Dual L-Bridge in a Grid-Scale Battery Energy Storage System

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Cell state-of-charge (SoC) balancing within a battery energy-storage system (BESS) is the key to optimizing capacity utilization of a BESS. Many cell SoC balancing strategies have been proposed; however, control complexity and slow SoC convergence remain

KOROVKIN THEOREM VIA STATISTICAL e-MODULAR CONVERGENCE OF DOUBLE SEQUENCES

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2018
In the present paper, we obtain an abstract version of the Korovkin type theorem via the concept of statistical e-convergence in modular spaces for double sequences of positive linear operators.

The Harmonically Coupled Admittance Matrix of the Single-Phase Diode Rectifier

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
The convergence of the iterative harmonic analysis (IHA) of networks with nonlinear loads can be improved if the Gauss algorithm is replaced by the modular decoupled Newton solution (M-DNS).

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Common Fixed Points in Modular Spaces

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences, 2018
In this paper, there are   new considerations about the dual of a modular spaces and weak convergence. Two common fixed point theorems for a -non-expansive mapping defined on a star-shaped weakly compact subset are proved,  Here the conditions of ...

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...
