Traditional lecture and demonstration vs. modular self-paced instruction in technology education middle school [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Plan BTechnology Education instruction is in the process of changing from traditional lecture and demonstration to self-paced modular instruction. (Modular is computer-generated text, graphics, questions, etc.) This study served to determined whether ...

A generic framework for context-sensitive analysis of modular programs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Context-sensitive analysis provides information which is potentially more accurate than that provided by context-free analysis. Such information can then be applied in order to validate/debug the program and/or to specialize the program obtaining ...

Ligand Assisted Epitaxial Growth of CsPbBr3 Microcrystal Resonators With Record ‐Low Lasing Thresholds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐based ligand‐assisted epitaxial growth (LAEG) yields high‐quality CsPbBr3 microcrystals on different substrates with superior morphology, passivated surfaces, and high photoluminescence quantum yield. These robust micro‐resonators achieve record‐low room‐temperature lasing thresholds of 7.2 kW·cm−2 and maintain operational stability up to 90 ...

Study on the appraisal analysis and forecasting model of diesel engine performance based on modular neural network

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2005
By analyzing the relationship between technical states and performance parameters of diesel engine, an appraisal model based on modular neural networks is proposed.

Convergence in variable Lebesgue spaces

open access: yes, 2021
We consider the relationship in the variable Lebesgue space Lp(·)(Ω) between convergence in norm, convergence in modular, and convergence in measure, for both bounded and unbounded exponent ...

Intracrystalline Void‐Mediated Toughening of Brittle Crystals in Quail Eggshells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In quail eggshells, the high density and disordered arrangement of intracrystalline voids inhibit lattice cleavage, suppress long‐range crack propagation, and promote deformation twinning and quasi‐plasticity, serving as an essential toughening motif. We show that these voids remain within a narrow subcritical size range and therefore predominantly do ...

Unexpected Asymmetric Mn‐Sb Site Mixing and Reentrant Spin‐Glass State of MnSb2Te4

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MnSb2Te4 is an intrinsic magnetic topological insulator. Its properties are extraordinarily sensitive to tiny defects, making structural studies essential for understanding how magnetism and topology work together. This work shows that Mn can be unevenly distributed within the crystal and how that disorder is linked to a newly reported spin‐glass state

A modular convergence theorem for certain nonlinear integral operators with homogeneous kernel

open access: yes, 1997
Here we give modular estimates for nonlinear integral operators of Urysohn type with kernels which satisfy some general homogeneity assumtpions and as a consequence we state a modular convergence theorem in Orlicz ...

Nanoamphizymes: Self‐Assembled Amphiphilic Enzymatic Nanomaterials for High‐Performance Biocatalysis and Biosensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An amphiphilic GOx nanoamphizyme was constructed by covalently introducing hydrophobic PPNI linkers onto GOx, enabling spontaneous self‐assembly into tunable nanoparticles. Mild crosslinking further stabilized the assemblies and enhanced catalytic performance and stability.
