Modular design of solar-thermal nanofluidics for advanced desalination membranes
Journal of Materials Chemistry A, 2020The modular design of nanofluidic membranes was established by knitting CNTs with MOFs through a self-crosslinkable polyelectrolyte, leading to advanced solar-thermal desalination performance in various pH, solvents and fouling conditions.

Modular Design of Noble-Metal-Free Mixed Metal Oxide Electrocatalysts for Complete Water Splitting.
Angewandte Chemie, 2019Electrocatalytic water splitting into H2 and O2 is a key technology for carbon-neutral energy. Here, we report a modular materials design leading to noble metal-free composite electrocatalysts, which combine high electrical conductivity, high OER and HER

This chapter presents a three-phase methodology, which is proposed for the development of complex products using the modularity concept. The proposed methodology matches the criteria set by the design for functionality, assembly, and manufacture. A detailed discussion of needs analysis, quality function deployment, product requirement analysis, product/

The present article scans the stakes underlaying the choice of a modular strategy while setting-up the design process of a product. This process, a network of heterogeneous communities, focuses the authors towards the organisational trend as well as to the cognitive dimension of modularity. Four patterns are thus defined for a design process.

Modular acoustical panels have been used to construct noise control enclosures at least since the early 1950s. This paper presents examples of the early days of modular acoustical enclosures and illustrates the current state of the art where pre-engineered acoustical panels are used to construct acoustical environments for Music Practice, Broadcast ...
