A multilevel modular DC–DC converter topology [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics and Computers in Simulation, 2017
A multilevel modular DC-DC power conversion topology based on cascaded H-Bridge converters in a double П configuration is presented. The topology is intended to interconnect large power DC networks. A two level control hierarchy is used to regulate the DC voltage of each H-bridge module.

Steady-State Analysis of the Modular Multilevel Converter [PDF]

open access: yesIECON 2019 - 45th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2019
In this paper, the steady-state behavior of the modular multilevel converter (MMC) is studied under balanced and unbalanced AC grid voltage conditions. The suggested mathematical model is derived combining the converter internal arm variables and both AC and DC grids variables.
