Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

A Korovkin theorem in multivariate modular function spaces

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces and Applications, 2009
In this paper a modular version of the classical Korovkin theorem in multivariate modular function spaces is obtained and applications to some multivariate discrete and integral operators, acting in Orlicz spaces, are given.

Linear representations of regular rings and complemented modular lattices with involution

open access: yes, 2016
Faithful representations of regular $\ast$-rings and modular complemented lattices with involution within orthosymmetric sesquilinear spaces are studied within the framework of Universal Algebra.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Templates for geodesic flows

open access: yes, 2011
The fact that the modular template coincides with the Lorenz template, discovered by Ghys, implies modular knots have very peculiar properties. We obtain a generalization of these results to other Hecke triangle groups. In this context, the geodesic flow

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Fixed Points of Kannan Maps in the Variable Exponent Sequence Spaces p(·)

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
Kannan maps have inspired a branch of metric fixed point theory devoted to the extension of the classical Banach contraction principle. The study of these maps in modular vector spaces was attempted timidly and was not successful.

Banach Contraction Principle-Type Results for Some Enriched Mappings in Modular Function Spaces

open access: yesAxioms, 2023
The idea of enriched mappings in normed spaces is relatively a newer idea. In this paper, we initiate the study of enriched mappings in modular function spaces.

A note on conditional risk measures of Orlicz spaces and Orlicz-type modules

open access: yes, 2016
We consider conditional and dynamic risk measures of Orlicz spaces and study their robust representation. For this purpose, given a probability space $(\Omega,\mathcal{E},\mathbb{P})$, a sub-$\sigma$-algebra $\mathcal{F}$ of $\mathcal{E}$, and a Young ...
