ON MODULATED TOPOLOGICAL VECTOR SPACES AND APPLICATIONS
Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2019We introduce a notion of modulated topological vector spaces, that generalises, among others, Banach and modular function spaces. As applications, we prove some results which extend Kirk’s and Browder’s fixed point theorems.

Space vector pulse width modulation for Modular Multilevel Converters
IECON 2016 - 42nd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2016This paper proposes a space vector vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) stratey for Modular Multilevel Converters (MMCs). The proposed modulation generates multilevel output line-to-line voltages with 4N+1 levels. Furthermore, the virtual vectors are developed for the MMC and it allowed to establish the converter voltage limits and implement a proper ...

Twisted component sums of vector-valued modular forms
Abhandlungen aus dem Mathematischen Seminar der Universitat Hamburg, 2019We construct isomorphisms between spaces of vector-valued modular forms for the dual Weil representation and certain spaces of scalar-valued modular forms in the case that the underlying finite quadratic module A has order p or 2p, where p is an odd ...

Indecomposable vector-valued modular forms and periods of modular curves
Research in Number Theory, 2017We classify the three-dimensional representations of the modular group that are reducible but indecomposable, and their associated spaces of holomorphic vector-valued modular forms.

A new space-vector selector modulation for the modular multilevel converter applications
2020 IEEE XXVII International Conference on Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computing (INTERCON), 2020In this paper is proposed a new modulation technique for the modular multilevel converter, based on space vector theory. This technique is based on step-wave modulation (reduced switching frequency). Therefore, this technique performs a fast calculation of every pulse pattern of upper and lower arm three-phase voltages that will define the switching ...

Hybrid Interleaved Space Vector PWM for Ripple Reduction in Modular Converters
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2011This paper addresses the problem of optimizing space vector PWM (SVM) for interleaved, parallel-connected, three-phase voltage source converters to reduce total harmonic distortion (THD) of the total line current. A systematic approach is presented for designing hybrid SVM schemes involving multiple sequences, including those based on active state ...

A new modular neutral point clamped converter with space vector modulation control
2018 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2018This papers proposes a new 5-level modular neutral point clamped (MNPC) converter for medium voltage (MV) and high power applications. The proposed converter can operate at voltages up to 13.8kV using available commercial power semiconductor switches without series connection of the switches.

Space-vectors based hierarchical model predictive control for a modular multilevel converter
2015 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2015The modular multilevel converter (MMC) is a competitive candidate for medium/high-power applications, specifically for high-voltage direct current transmission systems. Model predictive control (MPC) is an advanced and flexible method for power converters.

2013 15th European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE), 2013
This paper presents an adapted space vector modulation scheme for modular multilevel converters cascaded to higher levels. Instead of extending a single hexagon to the regions corresponding to the number of levels, this scheme uses multiple overlapping hexagons which are phase displaced relative to each other.

Modular sheaves with many moduli
Geometry & TopologyWe exhibit moduli spaces of slope stable vector bundles on general polarized HK varieties $(X,h)$ of type $K3^{[2]}$ which have an irreducible component of dimension $2a^2+2$, with $a$ an arbitrary integer greater than $1$.
