Modularization and Modular Delivery of TVET
2009Modularization in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) is an area of increasing interest and debate. Many countries in and outside Europe have, to some extent, introduced modularization in their TVET systems over the past twenty years.

Although modular macromolecular devices are encountered frequently in a variety of biological situations, their occurrence in biocatalysis has not been widely appreciated. Three general classes of modular biocatalysts can be identified: enzymes in which catalysis and substrate specificity are separable, multisubstrate enzymes in which binding sites for

We present a novel proof of Toyama's famous modularity of confluence result for term rewriting systems. Apart from being short and intuitive, the proof is modular itself in that it factors through the decreasing diagrams technique for abstract rewriting systems, is constructive in that it gives a construction for the converging rewrite sequences given ...

Modular rewriting seeks criteria under which rewrite systems inherit properties from their smaller subsystems. This divide and conquer methodology is particularly useful for reasoning about large systems where other techniques fail to scale adequately. Research has typically focused on reasoning about the modularity of specific properties for specific ...

abstract A concern about modular stems is that the taper will not provide an adequate seal, causing the stem distal to the taper to become part of the effective joint space. In this study, 380 primary patients and 309 revision patients were treated with a proximally modular stem. Follow-up was between 5 and 17 years (mean 9.4 years).
