Theoretical Analysis on Noise Performance of Modulated Wideband Converters for Analog Testing
2020 IEEE 29th Asian Test Symposium (ATS), 2020The Modulated Wideband Converter (MWC) is one of the promising sub-Nyquist sampling architectures for sparse wideband signal sensing, cognitive radio applications and so on. In order to design an MWC-based RF receiver that meets a target RF specification, noise figure (NF) of the MWC has to be well-defined by its design properties. This paper reviews a

A calibration system and perturbation analysis for the Modulated Wideband Converter
IEEE 10th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SIGNAL PROCESSING PROCEEDINGS, 2010A calibration system is proposed in this paper for the Modulated Wideband Converter (MWC), which is an efficient sampling system for the sparse multiband signals. The proposed calibration system has the ability to acquire actual measurement matrix and is achievable both in its structure and in its computational complexity.

Frequency hopping (FH) communications are widely used in Satcom systems. The latest FH systems have exceeded 3 GHz with hop rates up to 100 000 hops/s. Traditional spectrum sensing systems hardly monitor such signals. Modulated wideband converter (MWC) is an emerging compressive sampling structure applied to sample multiband signals.

Wideband Spectrum Sensing using Modulated Wideband Converter by Revised Orthogonal Matching Pursuit
2018 International Conference on Control, Power, Communication and Computing Technologies (ICCPCCT), 2018Spectrum sensing is a major function of Cognitive radio. Wideband spectrum sensing has been a focal area of research and development for the past few decades. Conventional wideband spectrum sensing techniques used Nyquist sampling rates. The major drawback associated with these techniques is its high computational complexity attached to the required ...

On a new compressed sensing paradigm in the modulated wideband converter
Eurocon 2013, 2013Concerning sub-Nyquist sampling, this paper continues research on the modulated wideband converter (MWC), which uses compressed sensing (CS) to sample multiband signals with unknown carriers below their Nyquist rate. The minimum sampling rate for blind acquisition of these signals is 2NB, with N the number of bands and B their bandwidth.

The design of a novel wideband up-converter module in millimeter wave
2016 CIE International Conference on Radar (RADAR), 2016In this paper, a novel wideband up-converter module applied in millimeter wave is proposed. The local signal (LO) of 13∼17GHz is feed into an active multiplier through a SMA connector, and the output signal of 26∼34GHz is then mixed with an intermediate frequency signal (IF) of 6GHz±0.5GHz through another SMA connector.

Spectrum Sensing Based on Modulated Wideband Converter with CoSaMP Reconstruction Algorithm
2017Modulated Wideband Converter (MWC) provides a sub-Nyquist sampling approach for wideband spectrum sensing. In previous studies, reconstruction algorithm, OMP (Orthogonal Matching Pursuit) is used in the CTF (continuous-to-finite) block of MWC for frequency support recovery.

The effect of modulated wideband converter placement on compressive spectrum sensing
2013 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (APSURSI), 2013The modulated wideband converter (MWC) introduced in [1] enables a wide band of spectrum to be sensed using inexpensive components. The MWC spreads the received signal in frequency, which allows the spectral occupancy to be sensed from sub-Nyquist rate samples via compressive sensing techniques.
