Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.

Repair of neuronal DNA damage in Alzheimer's disease by KCL‐286. (A) Amyloid‐β oligomers and plaques impair neuronal DNA repair pathways, leading to DNA double‐strand breaks and glial activation. (B) KCL‐286 activates RARβ/RXR signalling via retinoic acid response elements (RAREs), associated with increased BRCA1 expression, enhanced DNA repair and ...

Error-correcting two-dimensional modulation codes
Modulation coding, to limit the number of consecutive zeroes in a data stream, is essential in digital magnetic recording/playback systems. Additionally, such systems require error correction coding to ensure that the decoded output matches the recorder ...

Coding of PPM based modulation techniques to improve the performance of infrared WLAN's [PDF]
In this communication we consider the use of PPM based modulation methods, such as the hybrid modulation method called Amplitude and Pulse-Position Modulation (APPM) and Overlapping Pulse-Position Modulation (OPPM), to improve the performance of ...

Ionomycin suppresses cancer cell growth by disrupting mitochondrial transcription
In this study, we identify a new function for the selective Ca2+ ionophore, ionomycin, as an inhibitor of mitochondrial transcription. Both total and nascent RNA analyses revealed that ionomycin treatment reduces the transcription of mitochondrial genes.
