Segregation of Multimodal Inputs Into Discrete Midbrain Compartments During an Early Critical Period
The lateral cortex of the inferior colliculus (LCIC) is a multimodal subdivision of the midbrain inferior colliculus (IC) that plays a key role in sensory integration. The LCIC is compartmentally-organized, exhibiting a series of discontinuous patches or

Our memories are not all created equally strong: Some experiences are well remembered while others are remembered poorly, if at all. Research on memory modulation investigates the neurobiological processes and systems that contribute to such differences in the strength of our memories.

Due to its excellent modularity and scalability, the cascaded H‐bridge solid‐state transformer (CHB SST) is a prominent candidate for interconnecting different grids in future hybrid ac/dc distribution systems.

DGS-Based Modules: Difficulty Aspects of Studying Geometry at University Level
This study aims to ensure that geometry is the most difficult subject to understand, aspects of the difficulty of learning geometry for students, and suggestions for reducing difficulties. This study uses an exploratory mixed methods design.

$D$-module and $F$-module length of local cohomology modules [PDF]
Let $R$ be a polynomial or power series ring over a field $k$. We study the length of local cohomology modules $H^j_I(R)$ in the category of $D$-modules and $F$-modules. We show that the $D$-module length of $H^j_I(R)$ is bounded by a polynomial in the degree of the generators of $I$.

A Software Product Line (SPL) is a family of similar programs, called variants, generated from a common artifact base. A Multi SPL (MPL) is a set of interdependent SPLs: each variant can depend on variants from other SPLs. MPLs are challenging to model and to implement efficiently, especially when different variants of the same SPL must coexist and ...

We revisit sheaves on locales by placing them in the context of the theory of quantale modules. The local homeomorphisms $p:X\to B$ are identified with the Hilbert $B$-modules that are equipped with a natural notion of basis. The homomorphisms of these modules are necessarily adjointable, and the resulting self-dual category yields a description of the

In this paper, we give some characterizations of FP-grinjective R-modules and graded right R-modules of FP-gr-injective dimension at most n. We study the existence of FP-gr-injective envelopes and FP-gr-injective covers.

Discovering transcriptional modules by Bayesian data integration [PDF]
Motivation: We present a method for directly inferring transcriptional modules (TMs) by integrating gene expression and transcription factor binding (ChIP-chip) data.
