Rurality of Rural University Students, Using Technology for Teaching and Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic: Echoes from Kwazulu-Natal Province of South Africa [PDF]
Covid disease was first identified by scientists in 1965 as a human coronavirus associated with a common cold. However, the virus that first appeared on a small scale in November 2019 in Wuhan, China soon translates into a global pandemic that resulted ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Improved community detection in weighted bipartite networks [PDF]
Real-world complex networks are composed of non-random quantitative interactions. Identifying communities of nodes that tend to interact more with each other than the network as a whole is a key research focus across multiple disciplines, yet many ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

On the structure of Foulkes modules for the symmetric group [PDF]
This thesis concerns the structure of Foulkes modules for the symmetric group. We study `ordinary' Foulkes modules $H^{(m^n)}$, where $m$ and $n$ are natural numbers, which are permutation modules arising from the action on cosets of $\mathfrak{S}_m\wr ...
