Black holes as probes of moduli space geometry
We argue that supersymmetric BPS states can act as efficient finite energy probes of the moduli space geometry thanks to the attractor mechanism. We focus on 4d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 compactifications and capture aspects of the effective field theory ...

Oscillons from string moduli [PDF]
A bstractA generic feature of string compactifications is the presence of many scalar fields, called moduli. Moduli are usually displaced from their post-inflationary minimum during inflation.

Moduli-induced baryogenesis [PDF]
We study a scenario for baryogenesis in modular cosmology and discuss its implications for the moduli stabilization mechanism and the supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking scale. If moduli fields dominate the Universe and decay into the standard model particles through diatonic couplings, the right amount of baryon asymmetry can be generated through CP ...

Supersymmetric moduli stabilization and high-scale inflation
We study the back-reaction of moduli fields on the inflaton potential in generic models of F-term inflation. We derive the moduli corrections as a power series in the ratio of Hubble scale and modulus mass.

The evaluation of the bearing capacity of asphalt pavements is usually performed by analysing the deflections measured by a Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD). The deflection changes with the pavement temperature.

Flat monodromies and a Moduli Space Size Conjecture [PDF]
A bstractWe investigate how super-Planckian axions can arise when type IIB 3-form flux is used to restrict a two-axion field space to a one-dimensional winding trajectory.

We study the time evolution of freely rolling moduli in the context of M-theory on a G_2 manifold. This free evolution approximates the correct dynamics of the system at sufficiently large values of the moduli when effects from non-perturbative potentials and flux are negligible. Moduli fall into two classes, namely bulk moduli and blow-up moduli.

On an Isomorphism of Compactifications of Moduli Scheme of Vector Bundles
A morphism of the reduced Gieseker - Maruyama moduli functor (of semistable coherent torsion-free sheaves) on the surface to the reduced moduli functor of admissible semistable pairs with the same Hilbert polynomial, is constructed. It is shown that main

Landscape of modular symmetric flavor models
We study the moduli stabilization from the viewpoint of modular flavor symmetries. We systematically analyze stabilized moduli values in possible configurations of flux compactifications, investigating probabilities of moduli values and showing which ...

The matter sector of four-dimensional effective supergravity models obtained from the weakly coupled heterotic string contains many moduli. In particular, flat directions of the D-term part of the scalar potential in the presence of an anomalous U(1) give rise to massless chiral multiplets which have been referred to elsewhere as D-moduli.
