Cosmology From Moduli Dynamics [PDF]
We investigate moduli field dynamics in supergravity/M-theory like set ups where we turn on fluxes along some or all of the extra dimensions. As has been argued in the context of string theory, we observe that the fluxes tend to stabilize the squashing (or shape) modes.

Moduli-Induced Gravitino Problem [PDF]
We investigate the cosmological moduli problem by studying a modulus decay in detail and find that the branching ratio of the gravitino production is generically of O(0.01-1), which causes another cosmological disaster. Consequently, the cosmological moduli problem cannot be solved simply by making the modulus mass heavier than 100 TeV.

Simple proofs of certain inequalities with logarithmic coefficients of univalent functions
In this paper, we give simple proofs for the bounds (some of them sharp) of the difference of the moduli of the second and the first logarithmic coefficient for the general class of univalent functions and for the class of convex univalent functions.

A calculus for the moduli space of curves [PDF]
This article accompanies my lecture at the 2015 AMS summer institute in algebraic geometry in Salt Lake City. I survey the recent advances in the study of tautological classes on the moduli spaces of curves. After discussing the Faber-Zagier relations on

The classical phase of the matrix model of 11-dimensional M-theory is complex, infinite-dimensional Hilbert space. As a complex manifold, the latter admits a continuum of nonequivalent, complex-differentiable structures that can be placed in 1-to-1 correspondence with families of coherent states in the Hilbert space of quantum states. The moduli space

Moduli mediation without moduli-induced gravitino problem [PDF]
We study the moduli-induced gravitino problem within the framework of the phenomenologically attractive mirage mediations. The huge amount of gravitino generated by the moduli decay can be successfully diluted by introducing an extra light modulus field which does not induce the supersymmetry breaking.

Materials scientists increasingly employ machine or statistical learning (SL) techniques to accelerate materials discovery and design. Such pursuits benefit from pooling training data across, and thus being able to generalize predictions over, k-nary ...

Moduli vacuum misalignment and precise predictions in string inflation [PDF]
The predictions for all the cosmological observables of any inflationary model depend on the number of e-foldings which is sensitive to the post-inflationary history of the universe.

Objective Ultrasound (US) has been proposed as a potential tool for assessing skin fibrosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc). However, a large‐scale comparison of US‐based assessment with histologic markers of skin fibrosis has not been reported. We evaluated US‐based skin assessments for their face validity (differentiation between involved SSc and healthy
