Period- and mirror-maps for the quartic K3
We study in detail mirror symmetry for the quartic K3 surface in P3 and the mirror family obtained by the orbifold construction. As explained by Aspinwall and Morrison, mirror symmetry for K3 surfaces can be entirely described in terms of Hodge ...

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

The mixed Hodge structure on the fundamental group of hyperelliptic curves and higher cycles
In this paper we give a geometrical interpretation of an extension of mixed Hodge structures (MHS) obtained from the canonical MHS on the group ring of the fundamental group of a hyperelliptic curve modulo the fourth power of its augmentation ideal.

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Covers of the projective line and the moduli space of quadratic differentials [PDF]
Consider the 1-dimensional Hurwitz space parameterizing covers of P^1 branched at four points. We study its intersection with divisor classes on the moduli space of curves. As an application, we calculate the slope of the Teichmuller curve parameterizing

This study introduces a novel multi‐scale scaffold design using L‐fractals arranged in Archimedean tessellations for tissue regeneration. Despite similar porosity, tiles display vastly different tensile responses (1–100 MPa) and deformation modes. In vitro experiments with hMSCs show geometry‐dependent growth and activity. Over 55 000 tile combinations

Electroactive Liquid Crystal Elastomers as Soft Actuators
Electroactive liquid crystal elastomers (eLCEs) can be actuated via electromechanical, electrochemical, or electrothermal effects. a) Electromechanical effects include Maxwell stress, electrostriction, and the electroclinic effect. b) Electrochemical effects arise from electrode redox reactions.

Limit linear series for curves not of compact type [PDF]
We introduce a notion of limit linear series for nodal curves which are not of compact type. We give a construction of a moduli space of limit linear series, which works also in smoothing families, and we prove a corresponding specialization result.

Categorification of Seidel's representation
Two natural symplectic constructions, the Lagrangian suspension and Seidel's quantum representation of the fundamental group of the group of Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms, Ham(M), with (M,\omega) a monotone symplectic manifold, admit categorifications as ...

Block Copolymers: Emerging Building Blocks for Additive Manufacturing
This review addresses how block copolymer (BCP) physics and rheology have led to the widespread use of BCPs in advanced additive manufacturing techniques, with particular emphasis on the untapped potential of these nanostructured materials toward achieving multi‐scale architected materials with unique, programmable material properties.
