Estimating the elastic modulus of non-atherosclerotic elastic arteries
Journal of Hypertension, 1992Non-invasive measurements of the diameter and wall thickness of arteries in vivo, combined with recordings of pressure, permit the assessment of some mechanical aspects of arteries in vivo. However, arteries are anisotropic cylinders with complex elastic properties which can only be determined by a detailed evaluation.

Normalized Modulus of Elasticity
2000Many researchers have investigated the influence of the reinforcing layers and fibers curvature on the values of the normalized moduli of elasticity, for example [56, 62, 64, 82, 112, 127, 128, 130, 140, 149]. These investigations used various approximate theories and different hypotheses. We will use the analyses developed in Chapters 3–8 and apply it

Elastic modulus of human cementum
Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, 1999In this paper, the elastic modulus measuring of human cementum is studied. The average value of the elastic modulus measured from 100 specimens is E=2.398±0.455 GPa. The specimens were made from incisors, canines, bicuspids, and molars. The testing was done on type AG-10TA electronic-mechanical universal material testing machine.

Anomalies of Elastic Modulus in Pb2Sr2YCu3O8+δ
physica status solidi (a), 1999We have studied the structural instability of Pb 2 Sr 2 YCu 3 O 8+δ by means of low frequency elastic modulus measurements. A modulus anomaly was found near 190 °C in the δ=0 samples. After a small amount of extra oxygen was incorporated another modulus anomaly was observed near 30 °C.

Polymer, 1973
Abstract The energy balance method previously described gives values for the elastic modulus of single crystals of nylons that are reasonably close to experimental data, where these are available, apart from nylon-6. Force constants were derived from Urey Bradley (UBFF) and valence (VFF) force fields.

Shear elastic modulus of graphite
Journal of Physics C: Solid State Physics, 1983The shear elastic modulus C44 of graphite has been determined by Brillouin scattering from surface waves. The author's value agrees with that obtained from neutron scattering experiments but differs from those determined by ultrasonic technique.

Elastic modulus of Mylar sheet
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1965AbstractHigh precision stress–strain curves were determined from representative Type A Mylar sheets in several commercially available thicknesses. A representative value for Young's modulus was found to be 0.76 × 106 psi. Measured values were from 0.60 to nearly 0.78 × 106 psi with the maximum value occurring at 0.005‐in. thickness.
