Blending type approximation by Stancu-Kantorovich operators based on Pólya-Eggenberger distribution
In the paper the authors introduce the Kantorovich variant of Stancu operators based on Pólya-Eggenberger distribution. By making use of this new operator, we obtain some indispensable auxiliary results.

A Coefficient Related to Some Geometric Properties of a Banach Space
We introduce a new coefficient as a generalization of the modulus of smoothness and Pythagorean modulus of Banach space X. Some basic properties of this new coefficient are investigated.

On certain Baskakov-Durrmeyer type operators [PDF]
This paper is a study of the degree of approximation by the linear combinations of the derivatives of certain Durrmeyer type integral modification of the Baskakov operators in terms of the higher order modulus of smoothness.

Modifying the moduli of supporting convexity and supporting smoothness, we introduce new moduli for Banach spaces which occur, e.g., as lengths of catheti of right-angled triangles (defined via so-called quasi-orthogonality).

On Generalized Moduli of Quasi-Banach Space
We shall discuss three generalized moduli such as generalized modulus of convexity, modulus of smoothness, and modulus of Zou-Cui of quasi-Banach spaces and give some important properties of these moduli.

New theorems in approximation theory
The aim of this paper is to prove some results for equivalence of moduli of smoothnes in approximation theory , we used a"non uniform" modulus of smoothness and the weighted Ditzian –Totik moduli of smoothness in by spline functions ,several ...

Application of a New Class of Characteristic Function
In Banach space,considering introducing a new class of real characteristic functions fx + ty ( y) and fx + ty ( y) ,the independent variable is t,and the domain is [0,+ ∞ ) ,and the corresponding properties of those new characteristic functions are used ...

In this paper, we discuss various properties of the new modulus of smoothness \[ \omega^\varphi_{k,r}(f^{(r)},t)_p := \sup_{0 < h\leq t}\|\mathcal W^r_{kh}(\cdot) \Delta_{h\varphi(\cdot)}^k (f^{(r)},\cdot)\|_{L_p[-1,1]}, \] where $\mathcal W_\delta(x) = \

Global smoothness preservation with second order modulus of smoothness
Abstract We establish the global smoothness preservation of a function f by the sequence of linear positive operators. Our estimate is in terms of the second order Ditzian-Totik modulus of smoothness. Application is given to the Bernstein operator.
