On Generalized Moduli of Quasi-Banach Space

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2018
We shall discuss three generalized moduli such as generalized modulus of convexity, modulus of smoothness, and modulus of Zou-Cui of quasi-Banach spaces and give some important properties of these moduli.

New theorems in approximation theory

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2010
The aim of this paper is to prove some results for equivalence of moduli of smoothnes in approximation theory , we used a"non uniform" modulus of smoothness and the weighted Ditzian –Totik moduli of smoothness in by spline functions ,several ...

Application of a New Class of Characteristic Function

open access: yesJournal of Harbin University of Science and Technology, 2021
In Banach space, considering introducing a new class of real characteristic functions fx + ty ( y) and fx + ty ( y) ,the independent variable is t,and the domain is [0,+ ∞ ) ,and the corresponding properties of those new characteristic functions are used ...

Characterization of best algebraic approximation by a generalized modulus of smoothness

open access: yesPROCEEDINGS OF THE 45TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON APPLICATION OF MATHEMATICS IN ENGINEERING AND ECONOMICS (AMEE’19), 2019
The paper presents Jackson inequality and the corresponding inverse inequality for the best algebraic approximation in terms of the generalized moduli of smoothness. Moreover the equivalence between the generalized modulus and the Butzer-Stens modulus is

Global smoothness preservation with second order modulus of smoothness

open access: yesMathematica Slovaca, 2013
Abstract We establish the global smoothness preservation of a function f by the sequence of linear positive operators. Our estimate is in terms of the second order Ditzian-Totik modulus of smoothness. Application is given to the Bernstein operator.

Equivalence of K-functionals and modulus of smoothness generated by a Dunkl type operator on the interval $(-1, 1)$

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2023
Our aim in this paper is to show that the modulus of smoothness and the $K$-functionals constructed from the Sobolev-type space corresponding to the Dunkl operator are equivalent on the interval $(-1,1)$.

Estimates for the modulus of smoothness

open access: yesJournal of Approximation Theory, 1985
In approximation theory it is usual for the order of approximation of a function to be given in terms of the modulus of smoothness of that function, but in practice a quantitative estimate of this modulus will be required. In this paper we introduce certain classes of multivariate functions which are characterized by the singularities of their elements.

Derivatives of a polynomial of best approximation and modulus of smoothness in generalized Lebesgue spaces with variable exponent

open access: yes, 2017
The relation between derivatives of a polynomial of best approximation and the best approximation of the function is investigated in generalized Lebesgue spaces with variable exponent.

On the Lightweight Potential of Laser Additive Manufactured NiTi Triply Periodic Minimal Sheet Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the lightweight potential of laser additive‐manufactured NiTi triply periodic minimal surface sheet lattices. It systematically investigates the effects of relative density and unit cell size on surface quality, deformation recovery, compression behavior, and energy absorption.

A note on linear compositions of the Mellin convolution operators in the weighted Mellin-Lebesgue spaces

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
In this article, we express a numerical form of the convergence using the suitable modulus of smoothness for linear compositions of the Mellin convolution operators.
