Halftone moiré due to imager distortion

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
Individual halftone color separations must possess a low degree of distortion to avoid undesirable moire in the overlays that produce the process colors. Achieving low relative distortion requires precise registration between the exposure devices used to write the halftone separations.

Phase-shifting shadow moiré using the Carré algorithm

SPIE Proceedings, 2008
The difficulty of implementing the phase shifting method in shadow moire lies in the fact that the phase shift due to the displacement of the light source, the imaging sensor, or the grating is non-uniform across the field of view. Typical phase shifting algorithms fail to produce accurate results. In the past few decades, various approximation methods

Computer aided Moiré topography of 3D models of set of teeth

SPIE Proceedings, 2008
More effective method for description of the form of a 3D object and curved surface, than shadow moire topography and current illumination by interference modulated laser beam, was proposed. Interference modulated laser beam that illuminates reference plane screen and the object using modification of the interference pictures by means of maxima of ...

Longitudinal mode selection in laser cavity by moiré volume Bragg grating

SPIE Proceedings, 2012
ABSTRACT A Fabry-Perot etalon, consisting of two Πphase shifted reflecting volume Bragg gr atings, is presented. These gratings are obtained as a moire pattern resulting from sequential recording of interference patterns with different periods in photo-thermo-refractive glass and called moire volume Bragg gratings (MVBGs).

Small roll angle measurement based on auto-collimation and moiré fringe

SPIE Proceedings, 2009
A novel method for small roll angle measurement based on auto-collimation and moire fringe is presented. A right-angle prism is used as an indicator of small roll angle around the optical axis, and a CCD is used to collect moire fringes that are generated by scale grating image which is reflected by prism and index grating.

The research of real time auto-recognition of the moiré fringe

SPIE Proceedings, 2011
Measuring the movement of raster by the method of moire fringe has the advantage of high sensitivity, high resolution and non-contacted measurement. The characteristic of moire fringe is that the image is white alternate with black, the angle of the stripes is uniform, the width of the stripes is uniform, the terminators of the stripes aren't clear.
